Adam Goldstein

Who is Adam “The Tailgate Knight” Goldstein?

In 1985 , as a five year old kid in East London I saw the magic that was the Chicago Bears Super Bowl on Channel 4…I was hooked. Fast forward to 2006, I went to see my beloved Bears play in Arizona on a Monday Night Football game, and that is where I discovered “Tailgating”.

I wanted to see what every tailgate and team was like so two years later I sold my flat, left my job and drove sixty five thousand miles across America going to see each team play once at home during the 2008 regular season. If that wasn’t enough, in 2009, I lived in a converted American school bus for half the season and this time I cooked for hundreds of people at both NFL and College games.

I have written two books about my footballing adventures: Tailgate To Heaven; A British NFL Tackles America (2008 trip) and The Tailgate Knight Rises: A British NFL Fan Tailgates America.

In 2012 the Pro Football Ultimate Fan Association (PFUFA) enshrined me (and my football fan alter ego - The Tailgate Knight) into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the NFL themselves featured me in their “superfan” series called #FanEnough

I now coach several football teams in Oxford; The Oxford University American football team; The Lancers, the Oxford Saints Womens team and the Oxford Saints Youth Team.
